How to Measure Toilet Partitions
Measure the overall washroom layout before recording individual cubicles. Show dimensions on a plan or marked sketch so every number has a clear location and reference surface.
Record the overall layout
Identify fixed walls, columns, sanitary fixtures and other obstructions. Record room width and depth from the relevant finished surfaces and identify the datum points. State whether finishes are complete or whether an allowance still needs confirmation.
Locate doors and dividing panels
Show the overall front line, individual cubicle widths, divider depths and intended finished heights. Mark door openings and inward or outward swings. Record clearances and any project-specific accessible-cubicle requirements separately for the design team to confirm.
Describe the supporting surfaces
Note wall and floor construction, finished floor levels and relevant ceiling or headrail conditions. Photographs can help explain interfaces, but do not establish hidden substrate strength or an approved fixing method.
Check before approval
Check that the plan, dimension schedule and site notes use the same reference points and revision. Flag missing dimensions instead of estimating them silently. Final mounting, component sizes and clearances must be confirmed against project-approved drawings and the selected system.
